An activity which encourages students to add more detail to their writing. Students are asked to write instructions on ‘how to wake someone up’. A discussion around kindness, compassion, and adding lots of detail happens on the ideal way to wake someone up. Students then write a paragraph explaining in as much detail as they can. Answers provided by a healthcare support worker at York and Scarborough Hospitals - this is how they actually do it!

A series of activities in which students look at the journey of Danny, who has been injured when playing. Students have to put the cards in order of who Danny sees and what they do to help him. They then watch the video to check their answers and then discuss what care Danny receives in the community (once he is discharged from hospital).
